Tejas JOAD Archery is coached by Amy Brooke Witt, USA Archery Level 4 NTS Coach and Head Coach and Terry Witt, Jeff Haynes, Cher Riggs  and Alexander Witt USA Archery Level 3 NTS Coaches .

Tejas JOAD Archery team meets every  Tuesday night from 6:30-7:45 pm at Texas Archery Academy.  We also meet every week except during school holidays, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Spring Break. There will also be a coach available on Tuesday nights from 6-7:30 pm. You will need to have your own equipment or be in the process of getting equipment.

During the summer months, June and July we will meet outside. Location changes each year so please contat Coach Amy for information.

Tejas JOAD Archery Annual Membership: We do not collect annual fees at this time but that is subject to change. We only ask that you make a commitment to our club and team.

Tejas JOAD Archery Monthly Membership Fees: $45 per shooter is collected each month via Venmo. 

Texas Archery Academy Membership: Each Archer must be a member of TXAA. This will allow the entire family to enjoy Texas Archery Club 24/7.. This must be current to participate in Tejas JOAD Archery. This covers the use of club equipment, targets and insurance.

USA Archery Membership: Members must join USA Archery (mandatory for JOAD membership at national level). You must purchase a full membership (not recreational) or a family membership in

 USA Archery to participate in the JOAD program. The full membership allows participation in National, State and regional tournaments and is interchangeable with NFAA membership.  Visit USA Archery

TAIL Tournaments: Texas Archery Academy offers monthly TAIL tournaments at 2 pm on the last Sunday of each month at the Plano Range.  This will be where you can earn your JOAD pins and ribbons. The

cost for these tournaments is $15.

USA Archery Virtual JOAD Tournaments: Our coaches will set up and run Virtual Tournaments when time allows. These tournaments have a cost of $10 per archer. These are a great way to test your skills on a national level at a national event from the comfort of your home range.

Other Tournaments: We will do our best to keep you informed of tournaments around the DFW metroplex, Texas and National Tournaments.  You can participate in Indoor, Outdoor, 3D, Field and Target tournaments.

New Members: Please contact our coach for information about joining. 

Tejas JOAD Archery Shirts: We will order T-shirts, Polo Shirts and or Jackets for the season. This is an additional cost to the archery. These are optional but it does make your archer feel a part of our team. See your coach for information about ordering Team Shirts. The cost is around $45. 

SafeSport: USA Archery requires each adult involved in a JOAD program, even to the extent you are just coming to the range with your child (therefore you are around the kids) to complete the SafeSport online training. You can email or bring your completed certificate to amywitt2@att.net.

Club Communication: We currently use the phone app BAND. You can download it to IOS or Android or can access it from your computer. Message Coach Amy for access to our BAND.

Coaches: All coaches have background checks and SafeSport training processed through USA Archery. They have all been trained in the USA Archery Team techniques and are competitive shooters in their own right. We are also human. Please speak to us privately if you have any comments or concerns.

Volunteers: We welcome any parent to volunteer to help. Please help by making sure the ranges are torn down at practices and we leave it as clean as possible. There are Level 1 USA Archery training offered by TXAA regularly and you are encouraged to participate in this important archery training

course.
